Polygamy, one
man having several wives, has a long history in many
cultures, and is still practiced today in some parts
of the world.
Its morality and
effects on society are still being debated. In a study
reported in the Journal of Social Psychology, researchers
from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel, evaluated
146 Bedouin-Arab children from both polygamous and monogamous
families.
The children from
monogamous families tended to learn more and adjust
better to a school environment. The study also found
that the better educated the fathers were, the fewer
wives and children they were likely to have.

Okay,
first of all, I have to admit that I got to the event
